ICAC

Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) is the U.S. enforcement response for technology-facilitated child sexual exploitation: online enticement, CSAM production and distribution, sextortion, sex trafficking of minors, and related offenses. It is enforced through the OJJDP-funded ICAC Task Force Program — a multinational, multijurisdictional network of 61 coordinated task forces spanning more than 6,200 federal, state, local, and Tribal law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies that run proactive and reactive investigations, forensic exams, and prosecutions. Much of the caseload is tip-driven: NCMEC’s CyberTipline is the centralized reporting channel for suspected online exploitation (public and electronic service providers), receiving on the order of tens of millions of reports a year — 21.3 million in 2025 alone.
